CBS FILMS ACQUIRES PATHE’S PRIDE
EXCLUSIVE: CBS Films has added Allison Janney and Romany Malco to join Mae Whitman, Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne, Bianca Santos, Skyler Samuels, Nick Eversma
Mackenzie Davis, star of Halt and Catch Fire and the upcoming What If, with Adam Driver, tells all while vintage shopping in Brooklyn.
In the forthcoming romantic-comedy What If, Daniel Radcliffe stars as a med-school dropout who becomes smitten with a wise-cracking, ping-pong-playing gal, played by Zoe Kazan (Ruby Sparks). But when he learns she already has a boyfriend, he attempts to get out of the friend-zone and win her over, with a little help from his friend, a nacho-loving, advice-spewing ne’er do well, played by Girls star Adam Driver. We’ve got the exclusive first trailer for the film — which opens Aug. 1 — as well as a chat with Radcliffe, in which he talks about messy relationships, iffy nude scenes, and what he thinks of the next Harry Potter film: What If raises the age-old question of whether or not men and women can just be friends. Daniel Radcliffe: I’ve got loads of female friends, but I think it’s a different question when sexual or romantic attractions come into play.

Bella Thorne may have graduated from the Disney Channel but she’s heading back to high school for her next movie, as she’s nearing a deal to star alongside Mae Whitman in CBS Films’ comedy “The DUFF,” TheWrap has learned.
The found-footage horror genre gets a much need shot in the arm with the auspicious debut feature by Derek Lee and Clif Prowse in which they also play the starring roles.
